What payment methods do you accept at checkout?
We accept debit cards and selected credit cards, including Visa and Mastercard. American Express (Amex) is also accepted, but only for customers based in the United States. You can also pay using your Royal Mint Wallet balance, if applicable.
What is the maximum amount I can spend using a debit card?
Payments via Visa, Mastercard, or (for US customers) American Express are accepted up to a maximum transfer limit of £50,000, $50,000, or €50,000. This limit is configurable and may change depending on business requirements.
I used the wrong debit card for my order. Can I change my payment method?
Unfortunately, once a payment has been processed, it cannot be changed. To use a different payment method, you will need to cancel your existing order and place a new one.

Yes. All payment methods we offer are secure and comply with industry-standard encryption and authentication protocols to ensure your information remains protected.
Wallet
Why do I fund my wallet?
You can add funds to your Royal Mint wallet for quicker and easier transactions. Wallet funding can be completed via electronic bank transfer or debit card, with a maximum transfer limit of £50,000, $50,000, or €50,000. Credit card payments are not accepted for wallet funding.
How do I fund my wallet?
You can add funds by selecting Add Funds within your account area. Bank transfers are available for both UK and international customers and have no transfer limit. Debit cards are also accepted, but credit cards are not. We accept funds in GBP (£), EUR (€), and USD ($), depending on your account type and location. Bank transfer deposits typically take 1-3 working days to settle.
How long are funds available in my wallet?
Funds added to your wallet must be used within 30 days. The wallet is designed for transactional use only, and unused funds will expire after this period.
How do I withdraw funds from my wallet?
To withdraw funds: Log in to your account. Ensure your bank account is linked. Select Withdraw Funds and follow the on-screen instructions.
Apple Pay
Do you accept Apple Pay?
How do I pay using them? Yes. We accept Apple Pay. To use this payment method in the checkout or for adding funds, you must be on a compatible browser and device - for example, Apple Pay requires an Apple device. If available, the option to pay with Apple Pay will appear during the checkout process.
Is Apple Pay secure?
Yes. Apple Pay provide enhanced security compared to traditional card payments. They use tokenization, which replaces your actual card details with a unique virtual number, ensuring your real card information is never shared with merchants. Additionally, they require authentication methods such as fingerprint or facial recognition to complete transactions. This process significantly reduces the risk of fraud and unauthorised access.
International Customers
What payment methods are accepted for international customers?
International customers can pay using Visa and Mastercard. US-based customers can also use American Express.
Do you accept American Express (Amex) for US customers?
Yes. To pay with Amex, your account must have a billing address registered within the United States. You can view or update your address in My Account > Account > Your Addresses.
Can I pay in USD or EUR?
Payments in USD or EUR are currently accepted only for investment products. These currency options are available exclusively to international customers.
