George Orwell: A Visionary Writer
George Orwell is best known for his critically acclaimed novels Animal Farm and 1984. Celebrate one of the greatest writers of the twentieth century with a UK £2 coin.
The coin’s masterfully crafted reverse design, created by artist Henry Gray, incorporates elements of totalitarianism, which is a central theme in Orwell’s writing.
We commemorate George Orwell, a hugely talented writer and visionary thinker, on a UK coin for the first time.
The silver Proof edition of the coin is available in an acrylic block, so it can be proudly displayed for all to observe, whilst the design does the same to you.
