Our purpose-built educational suite is a popular choice for trips from primary and secondary schools. Visitors can engage in a wealth of learning opportunities linked to the Key Stage 2 curriculum or topics including engineering, design technology, art, history, business and culture.

Time Travel Adventure

Ages 4 to 6

What can you spot in The Tower of London's Mint Street? Can you move to the rhythm of a coin press? Using drama techniques, explore past locations of the Mint and discover how coins have been made throughout history.

Money and the Mint in World War II

Ages 7 to 11

Discover what life was like for Royal Mint workers during the turbulent years of World War II.

In our new workshop, students will learn how to calculate pre-decimal money using real historical coins, find out about rationing and practice budgeting using our immersive War Time Shopping activity.
